If I had been born in Montana, I would have grown up among mountains and rolling prairies. If my mother had bought the Fisher Creek ranch, I would spend my days under that endless blue sky, already accustomed to the freezing winters. I might have rowed a canoe along the wild, picturesque, and almost mythical Missouri River, or camped near the White Cliffs.
This print is inspired by the American West: Rio Bravo, Giant, Humbert and Lolita, Dean Moriarty and Sal Paradise, Thelma & Louise, or Dolly Parton 🤠
This illustration, created digitally in Procreate, blends intense, saturated colors with a contemporary narrative. Take a look at the process behind it—sketches and references that shaped this visual road trip.
